The Klan had it wrong.
Obvious statement, but not the way one might think.
We all know that the Ku Klux Klan, (KKK, or the Klan) is a hideous organization that was started after the Civil War by former Confederate soldiers and officers. It was a terror organization that was once recognized as the armed militant arm of the Democratic Party (yes the same party). They advocated a return to slavery, and fought against the civil rights of blacks. Lynchings, poll taxes, Jim Crow laws, and racism were their forte. Why do I say the Klan had it wrong? (Speaking only from their point of view, which is NOT mine)
I have often pointed to statistics by the NYC department of health regarding births, abortions, etc. I have stated that half of all black pregnancies end in abortion. Reading the latest, NYC reports that there were 1,488 black abortions for every 1,000 black births. Over half. Factor in that of those that survive pregnancy, 75 percent are born into single mother homes. As a comparison, 284 abortions for every 1,000 births for white babies. This is nothing more than genocide. A plan that any Klan member could not have imagined in their wildest dreams. Where does the NAACP stand on abortion, and Planned Parenthood (a group founded by Margaret Sanger, who felt that blacks needed to be aborted out of existence)? They support them completely.
Many people have questioned Rand Paul about abortion as he is pro-life. They question his extreme position. Senator Paul turned it around and told the media they should ask the DNC about whether it is okay to kill a 7 pound baby that hasn't been born. Excellent response. (Debbie Wasserman Schwartz, the DNC Chairperson said that it is okay, with NO restrictions).
Of course the question is; How is it that someone who markets themselves as a Libertarian be Pro-Life? If you feel that we should defend the rights of the most defenseless in all situations, it is easy.
As to the reference to the Democrat party and the Klan being affiliated, I wanted to state that some say that the Republicans in the south are the racists, and that they just switched, (the so called southern strategy). I would just point out a few things, and people can decide whether the Democrats have changed.

Blocking blacks from voting-Democrats
Jim Crow laws-Democrats
Filibuster of Civil Rights Act of 1964-Democrats (Republicans overwhelmingly supported)
Genocide through abortion-Democrats
