Now, eyes have to be open.

“It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep." A Trump tweet.  It certainly sounds like him doesn't it?  I mean, he epitomizes the quote to a tee.  Just one problem.  It is a Benito Mussolini quote.  That is right, the fascist dictator of Italy, ally of Adolf Hitler.  Of course, if there was a liberal reading this, they would say, see, Republicans are fascists.  Of course, my liberal friends, the founding fathers of the progressive movement, like Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, all felt that Mussolini's brand of Socialism (yes, fascism is just a form of socialism) was the cat's meow.  They all felt that his model was the perfect model. It boggles my mind that Jeff Sessions, R-AL, came out yesterday to support Trump. It doesn't boggle my mind that Chris Christie, R-governor of NJ supports him. If Trump wins the nomination, and wins the general, it will confirm to all those centrists, that what liberals have

Trumpsters beware.

It might appear that I am saying that Trump supporters are racists.  I am not, but am curious. Did I get your attention? Good.  I love to throw red meat out, and see what happens. Why would I make that statement?  I was thinking about this as I was driving in to work today.   Before I begin, I want to explain a few things. Trump is not a conservative.  He is not a liberal.  He is the ultimate trumpster.  He will be whoever he needs to be to whomever he is talking to.   People flock to him in an almost cult like following.  He mentioned that he could shoot someone in Manhattan and his followers would still vote and campaign for him. He is a strong man that can get things done.  He is a take no prisoners, give no quarter kind of leader . He attacks his enemies, not with reason, or facts, but by advancing a narrative, which is facilitated by the media, which knows that Trump brings ratings. He talks about bringing Americans together. Let's compare shall we?  Here is P

A suggestion for the President.

Mr. President. As you consider your nomination for a replacement for one of the three upholders of their oaths on the Supreme Court bench, let me give you a suggestion that could wipe out your enemies, at minimal cost to you or your party. (no seriously) I would suggest Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).  I know, he believes in the Constitution, you believe in the court making up the constitution out of whole cloth.  Let me suggest why; The one thing you wouldn't like was just listed.  Why do it?  Well, for one, it wouldn't change the make up of the court.  One for one.  Kind of like you felt when Justices Alito and Roberts were nominated, and you filibustered.  What is in it for you? Think about the contention in the GOP nomination process.  Right now, there is Trump, and the Establishment, and the Conservative.  You pull the conservative, and I suspect you hand the election to the Democrat.  The establishment will fall in line, probably behind Rubio.  If the fix appears to be i

socialism in the university?

It shouldn't be a surprise that Senator Sanders, I-VT, is taking the millennials by storm.  After all, they are facing massive debt while going to college, limited jobs available after college, and he is promising FREE! .  When pressed on how to pay, they take the easy road, and say that Senator Sanders will lay a heavy burden on the "rich" to pay for FREE!.  Of course, Senator Sanders has said as much. You know, a lot of students are struggling in college, many don't even finish a full year.  How about this?  Every semester, the school takes all the grades, and averages them, and gives them out.  So a 4.0 GPA becomes a, say, 3.2, and a 1.7 GPA becomes a 2.5.  Ask those Bernie supporters how they would feel about that.  Seriously, what is different?  Those 4.0s have plenty of GPA to graduate, and should help those that won't graduate otherwise.   If they truly believe, then they should sign up. Of course, I wouldn't want to do that.  And that is the probl
