what is the point?

What can a voice like mine do?  Too many voices sharing too many things, I am every bit as guilty, or more so than anyone else.  Too many drawing sides, feeling backed into the corner.  I am going to try to exercise restraint in sharing in social media. If you don't believe that rights either come from God, or are natural rights, then we will not probably reach an agreement.  Thing is, even people who pay lip service to what I just mentioned, will argue that we can restrict this or that. Government doesn't give rights, it can only take them from you. Today I heard in that meeting where the .1% of the 1% were deciding how to take our rights, some idiot Congressman talk about how the skies were made safe after 911 by the TSA.  Are you for real?  What did the private security doing its job not do that would make someone make such a stupid mistake.  Yes, Stupid and Idiot are harsh, but very applicable.  The hijackers didn't have guns, they had legal at the time, boxcutters.

you can only count on you for protection

I would think that the fact that those sworn to protect us were waiting behind police cars while kids inside the school died, would be getting more coverage than it is.  Not just the SRO who listened from the outside as kids died and more shots were fired, but the lies of the now infamous Sheriff Israel of the Broward County Sheriff's office. Starting with the attempted gang rape of Senator Marco Rubio (RINO-FL) and Dana Loesch (NRA Rockstar) by CNN on their so called town hall.  It is very likely that the Sheriff knew that the SRO was on site and did nothing, and may have known that 3 other officers were in defensive positions outside, while killing was going on inside. How did the NRA get dragged into this?  Here is a question: All Democrats lie and say that they respect the 2nd Amendment, but...  The lie was put out there fair and square when Senator Rubio put out the idea of banning all semi-auto rifles, and the crowd nearly went into a standing O.  They have preached aga

Gun Free zones

As we now sort through the wreckage of the latest mass shooting (what is it, like 400 this year?)  we are missing the big picture.  We have too many laws, have I mentioned that?  Sorry.  But we do.  Too many of these laws restrict our ability to use our property as we see fit, and to protect it as necessary.  What a man or woman does in their own home, so much as it has no impact on someone else, should be their business.  Yes it is a break from Social Conservatism, but you can't have limited government, without, having limited government.  I have already made that argument.  But I digress. Police protect society in general.  They are under NO requirement to protect you, the individual.  The Supreme Court has so ruled.  Yes, if you call in distress they will come to your assistance, based on the priority of your situation.  So, even if someone is in your house, has your family tied up, and is raping your wife, mother, or daughters while forcing you to watch, if there is somethi

Congress- "What, me worry?"

If you are older, you remember this statement as Alfred E. Newman's signature statement from MAD magazine. I am currently studying both the Presidency and Congress in two separate courses.  The evolution of the tyranny of the Executive began of course with the progressives Roosevelt, Teddy (RINO) and Woodrow Wilson (I love fascism!).  I know from the beginning of the Republic some presidents have worked to expand the office, but not like those guys.   But it went full throttle when FDR extended the economic downturn that Hoover blew up with Keynesian spending, and FDR flooded it, to the point that even his Treasury Secretary said: "We have tried spending money.  We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work.  And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong...somebody else can have my job.  I want to see the country prosperous.  I want to see people get a job.  I want to see people get enough to eat.  We have never made good on our promises...I sa

the snake oil salesmen

First, how about a little music?  Of course, other than the title, the music has little to do with the post. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqwnLDdu11Q Now down to brass tax. As I write this, the government has run out of money.  Again.   It is likely, however, that something will get done tonight or tomorrow, to keep things running.  Why are we here again? Look, this problem is bipartisan, there is no question.  GOP wants to blow money on the military, the Democrats want to blow money on the bureaucracy, in the name of the poor. If our military is so bad off as we hear, we need to disengage from these wasted wars completely.  Completely.  Of course, we need to do that anyway, as all of these actions are not constitutional.  And that many on the right have no problem excusing that when a Republican is running  the White House, had tremendous problems with it when President Obama was in charge. Well, not Graham and McCain, they are for war, period. Eisenhower warned of the &q

A convention!

At all costs. First the website link. conventionofstates.com I don't work for the above mentioned group. I do support their cause.  They advocate for what most sane people would.  Check them out.  There are many "conservatives" who are terrified of a convention for amendments.  If you aren't familiar, just a brief lesson. Article V of the Constitution allows for Amendments to be added to the Constitution, which that alone puts to a lie the idea of a living Constitution, as it allows for change.  How are amendments added?  Two ways. 1. 2/3rds of the House, and 2/3rds of the Senate vote for an amendment, it is then sent out to the state legislatures for ratification.  3/4ths of the states must ratify the amendment for it to be added to the Constitution.  That number today would be 38 states. 2. 2/3rds of the state legislatures call for a convention (34 states).  Once the requisite number of legislatures pass such resolutions, Congress must call a convention
