REVOLUTION!
Paid protesters force a cancellation of a Trump event in Chicago. While not probably not paid by the Sanders campaign, there is no doubt where the protester support lies.
Trump's Campaign manager has been accused of assaulting a reporter. A pro-Trump reporter at that. The campaign denies it, the news agency, once respected by conservatives, has left their reporter hanging, in its effort to be the mouthpiece for the campaign.
Trump supporters punching out protesters, even threatening to kill them.
Throughout the history of the republic, every time a new party or president is inaugurated, the world is in awe over the peaceful transfer of power in the United States. During Civil War, two world wars, Korea, Vietnam, and the war on terror, this has happened. It may not happen this time.
We have a candidate who will say anything, to anyone. Will slime reporters, will slime primary opponents. He has a media presence where every news station will sell their souls for an interview. Broadcasters who pretend neutrality, and yet, knowing that unfavorable coverage will get you blackballed, fawn over every opportunity to have him on for their ratings. Megyn Kelly is the prime example. But blackballing her wasn't enough, as now we know that the Trump's people (to be clear, probably not the campaign) has stepped up the game. Tweeting addresses and death threats. Every reporter should pay attention.
If this candidate should win the nomination, and then the White House, and then turn out like the naysayers indicate, (Republican Obama, ignoring the constitution) what will the media supporters do then? If you speak out, or portray his policies in an unfavorable light, then he will "sue you and get a bunch of money". What media outlet will then cross the President?
As to the violence that has already started, and which has been promised to continue, all I can say is this; violence begets violence. Riots to riots. Ultimately death, and tyranny to restore order.
I do not accuse the campaign itself of this violence, in fact, I feel that their campaign is falling prey to the mob it has helped create. Moreover, I think that they are gaining support, as the average American, to whom Donald Trump has given voice, see these attacks as attacks on them, and on America (they are, as a point of fact, or at least on what America once was)
If the Republicans end up with Donald Trump in a significant lead, regardless of whether he has the requisite delegates, they should just make him the nominee. Only if the race is close should there be discussion on how to proceed.
I don't support Donald Trump. I don't know if I could pull the lever for him, even knowing that it could give the election to Secretary Clinton. I am tired of "A vote for Johnson is a vote for Clinton". or "if we just had the White House, then the world will be righted." I think that Trump gives the people a voice, but I doubt he will restore the Republic, reducing government, and regulation. Debt is out of control, and leadership is needed to fix the problems that exist. These fixes will be very unpopular, but necessary. Does either of them have the strength to do it? If not, then what?
Still waiting on someone to ask Trump about the President's Executive Orders. The question? Does Donald Trump hate the orders because of the abuse of Executive Power, or does he hate the content? I would say...good question. They won't ask. And he won't sit with anyone that would.
