This stinks
How did that happen? I have spent time since the conservative base was sold out in 2015 by the beltway GOP, leaning more and more to the libertarian point of view, and what? I am with the beltway boys, against the Trump. I suspect for different reasons, so I can hang on to that.
I suspect that their reason, is that he will be the go to person, and will probably be excluded, as Trump deals with whomever. He certainly has demonstrated his desire to pay people to get his way. I wonder if Christrie falls in that category?
My problem with Trump is that we have seen this before. I have already highlighted the similarities with President Obama. I also suspect that his issue with the President is not with him issuing Executive Orders, I suspect that it is, at least on the surface, an issue with what the EOs are. He gives every indication of not being a statesman, and not wanting to devolve power back to the Congress, he actually seems to think that he can do things on his own. Seriously, why has no one asked him about working with Congress to pass the laws to not only build the wall, and deport 11+million people, but to get Mexico to pay for it at the same time.
Why has no one asked?
Right now, the Trump enjoys uninterrupted media access, every news channel will appear to sell what souls they have left to have him on. I wonder if that will be the case once Trump either is nominated at the convention, or secures enough delegates to win the nomination outright. As we have seen, any press, good bad, all of it, has only put his face on TV, and had improved his standings. How will it be when he is the GOP nominee. I suspect crickets. One caveat to that. He may be able to make a deal with certain networks to get around that.
Trump talks a lot about the banks, and how they own Cruz, or Hillary, or whomever. Of course they will put money on a Republican. It could be a big GOP year, and the last place a business would want to be is not paying the protection money. Why not Trump? Could it be that even though they haven't contributed to Trump, perhaps it is because he is owned by them through the loans for his properties? I don't know that, and certainly haven't investigated, but that seems very common sense. How mortgaged is he? We don't know.
And by the way, Mr. Hannity seems awful hard on people that don't support Trump. I thought he was a conservative, not a Republican.
I will say this, if the anti-Trumps don't get it figured out, there will be no battle at the convention.
And I will be voting for Gary Johnson. I have tired of "if you only get us in, things will be different" that we heard in 2010, and 2014. I wonder how many others have tired as well?
