Who are the refugees in Israel? Well before the end of WWI, Jews had been buying land in the former Ottoman Empire. They had been buying land to create a homeland for Jews. At the end of WWI, the Ottoman Empire was divided and the protectorate was established, designating an official homeland for the Jews. Their ANCESTRAL homeland, to clarify. The UN recognized Israel in 1948, and it was immediately attacked by the surrounding arab nations. The attack was repulsed, and the war to maintain their freedom had begun. In 1967 and 1973 additional wars happened. Same results, except that Israel took land necessary to defend itself. It traded away the Sinai peninsula to Egypt in exchange for peace. Look what that got them in the UN. Egypt voted yes. So, here we are.
