Trumpsters beware.
It might appear that I am saying that Trump supporters are racists. I am not, but am curious.
Did I get your attention? Good. I love to throw red meat out, and see what happens.
Why would I make that statement? I was thinking about this as I was driving in to work today. Before I begin, I want to explain a few things.
Trump is not a conservative. He is not a liberal. He is the ultimate trumpster. He will be whoever he needs to be to whomever he is talking to.
People flock to him in an almost cult like following. He mentioned that he could shoot someone in Manhattan and his followers would still vote and campaign for him.
He is a strong man that can get things done. He is a take no prisoners, give no quarter kind of leader.
He attacks his enemies, not with reason, or facts, but by advancing a narrative, which is facilitated by the media, which knows that Trump brings ratings.
He talks about bringing Americans together.
Let's compare shall we? Here is President Obama:
There is no red america, or blue america, just the United States of America
I have a thrill running down my leg
He promised to pay my mortgage, to pay me to live.
Elections have consequences, and I won.
If you disagree with me, you are a racist.
Have you figured it out yet? Trump is the Republican Obama. He doesn't have race, but he is so good at squashing dissent, that if he were President, we would probably long for the days of President Obama, and his Attorney General Eric Holder. So what gives? The left accuses Republicans of racism for fighting the President, which I think is ridiculous. The fact that Trump has such a high unfavorable rating among Republicans, gives me hope that the reason we dislike the President is because of his policies, and not race. Those who are worried that Trump will not return back to a more Constitutional government are being consistent. But...
Those who railed for years against President Obama for years, and his abuse of power, and have now cast in hook, line, and sinker for Trump, well, I don't understand that. In fact, I might wonder if it is race. It really isn't policy, Trump stands for nothing. He gives every indication that he looks at the power that the President is wielding and wants to expand it. If you are conservative, you can't support someone who is willing to use that power, even if they are going to use it on your behalf!
Let's recap.
President Obama- Abuses power, trashes enemies, Hugely liberal, maybe even Socialist, or Marxist. Trumpsters against him
Donald Trump- Wants to abuse power, trashes enemies. Questionable ideology, but has in the past supported partial birth abortion, single payer health care, and taxing every last dollar out of the rich, besides himself. Trumpsters love him
Tell me the difference, besides "he is going to abuse that power on our behalf"? Oh wait, that isn't a difference.
