Figures

I decide to not share any political posts, and then so much happens.

One of the best ads of the campaign.  "Hillary has the same policies as Dick Cheney, except he supported Gay marriage sooner"

Didn't watch the debate, but was reading a piece by a writer of "The Hill".  He essentially confirmed that Lester Holt, who, up until the debate, was considered one of the very few unbiased reporters in the media, went full in for Hillary, asking no follow up questions of her, not asking any questions about the issues that continue to follow her.  Yet, he also hammered Trump on stuff that really has no bearing on the election.  The Hill is no conservative review, by the way.

The Commission on Presidential Debates, the Parties, and the Media, have all conspired to keep anyone else out.  This puts a lie to those who say that Gary Johnson is not doing well in the polls.  The polls are structured to choose between Hillary and Trump.  Only after that first question do they ask about Johnson or Stein.  The first sets up the second.  So what happens?  No third party. In fact, it says more about whom Johnson hurts that he isn't allowed in.  Or asked about in the polls.  Answer for those that wonder, is Clinton.

Just a little over two months and this will all be over.  One way or another.  My prediction?  Trump.  Subject to him screwing up.  Which could happen.  I feel like there is a very strong undercurrent of discontent with the government as is.  Too many people feel disconnected.  And while Trump is no conservative, I think that those Never Trump types will come around.

Glenn Beck has talked against Ted Cruz for supporting Trump.  I understand where Glenn is coming from, but would just reiterate what I have said before.  If you are an elected Republican, you have an obligation to support the nominee.  The party supported you, and provided assistance with your election, you have no choice.  I don't think less of the Senator for confirming his support.  I do think that Lindsey Graham and John Kasich are dirt bags for accepting party money, using the party infrastructure, and dumping on the nominee, especially as they signed an agreement to support whoever it turned out to be.    The same with any other elected Republican.  If you receive RNC money, then they own your support.

A convicted felon with a gun was shot in Charlotte.  By a black policeman. The police force has a black chief, and the city has been run by Democrats forever.  The victim had a record of domestic violence, where his wife had taken out a restraining order against him a couple of years ago.  Not the poster boy for Anti police protests/riots.  Interesting how quick the BLM terrorists were wrecking Charlotte.  In Tulsa, BLM had so much trouble recruiting that they gave up.  No riots, prayer vigils.

The Democrats in the Senate are holding up funding the government as the minority party.  Happened back in 2013.  We know who was blamed then.  Wonder who will be blamed now.  Probably the same people.  The GOP did fail to pass actual budgets and spending bills, (yes bills, not a single omnibus, like they used to).  But in all fairness, the President would never sign individual spending bills.  To much risk. A CR is bad for everyone, but the Democrats are holding it up.  Not the GOP.  Thank goodness Dingy Harry Reid will be gone after this year.
