Random thoughts

I read this through, and think it is okay.  Am not feeling well, but wanted to put it out.

If you didn't catch it, I am linking Rand Paul's take down of John McCain on Sunday.  Rand Paul is standing firm on his positions, introducing an excellent replacement for Obamacare, his refusal to vote for adding to the deficit, and his continued anti-neocon message.  He stands firm for the Constitution when all others are squishes.  Senator Paul will support President Trump when merited, and will call him or anyone out when necessary.

Here is a short version of the interview

Senator Paul is right, with the President and Senator McCain, it is personal.

Replace, not reform.  have you written your Congressman or Senator?  the Tax code that is.

General Flynn was cut down by those desiring to keep the Iran deal secret.  This is an extreme problem for every citizen in this country.  The NSA keeps track of all of us.  And while the answer that they really can't track all of us is valid, anything that could cause their gaze upon you, they just open the file.  Want to guess who has spoken out against the NSA?  Senator Paul.

Feminists are up in arms about trans politics in athletics.  They are worried that allowing biological males identifying as women to participate in women's sports could have an impact on women's ability to compete.  It is kind of fun to watch a very thinly held together coalition of special interests fighting each other.

Was it just me or did anyone else take a lot of pleasure in watching a faux celebrity get trashed by nature in the Super Bowl Kia Niro commercial?  I wonder if it was intentionally done to appeal to us Neanderthals that watch football.  If you didn't see it here it is.

Referring back to the NSA stabbing General Flynn in the back, I have mentioned that Civil Service Reform is long overdue, and while it IS next to impossible to fire someone, they can be placed in do nothing positions.  That is currently happening at the State Department,  Good for them.  And if the President is really serious about pulling back the regulatory state, then that will happen more and more, where attrition will do the work of scaling the work force back.  In the full interview with Senator Paul, I think he talks about how Congress has ceded most of its lawmaking authority to the Executive Branch.

If the PC Police hadn't locked down campuses, there would be no Milo Yiannopoulis.  He would not have become a hero of the conservative movement, only to be taken down when some positions he has taken in the past have come to light.  Positions, which, are not that far out of the mainstream of liberal thought, of which MANY groups have advocated.  Milo is no conservative.  He should never have been hoisted up by conservative groups as a symbol.  He didn't ask to be,  He simply advocated for free speech.  For that, I suppose he should be applauded, but his methods should not.

Not Reform, Replace.  Pass it on.
