what is the point?
What can a voice like mine do? Too many voices sharing too many things, I am every bit as guilty, or more so than anyone else. Too many drawing sides, feeling backed into the corner. I am going to try to exercise restraint in sharing in social media.
If you don't believe that rights either come from God, or are natural rights, then we will not probably reach an agreement. Thing is, even people who pay lip service to what I just mentioned, will argue that we can restrict this or that. Government doesn't give rights, it can only take them from you.
Today I heard in that meeting where the .1% of the 1% were deciding how to take our rights, some idiot Congressman talk about how the skies were made safe after 911 by the TSA. Are you for real? What did the private security doing its job not do that would make someone make such a stupid mistake. Yes, Stupid and Idiot are harsh, but very applicable. The hijackers didn't have guns, they had legal at the time, boxcutters. The screeners did their jobs, as compared to the 95% failure rate when TSA is tested by the IG. If the your parents can't protect you, and the local police can't protect you, how will a massive bureaucracy in DC protect you. It won't.
Even as we speak, President Trump is starting to show his apolitical side in the gun control debate. Personally, I feel he is probably more of a controller on this issue, and that seems to be where we are heading. Leave it to the GOP to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. How many conservative voters, seeing President Trump roll over to the swamp like the GOP did before, are going to stay home? As the benefits of the tax cut start rolling in, the desperation of the Democrats was obvious. Now what?
Progressive policies failed in massive scale in Parkland. From the deputy probably peeing his pants rather than do his flippin' job, to the sheriff blaming the NRA, and CNN allowing slander to stand as fact. Just to add to the myriad of failures, let me throw one more in. In 2013, Broward County entered into an agreement with DOJ and the schools to shut off the "pipeline to prison". That is right. Eric Holder, the AG held in contempt by Congress, felt that disciplining kids, including calling the police, was racist. And that schools could be held to account for that. So instead, the school district received grants, based on their arrest rate going down. How did that work? No wonder the killer had no record. But blame the NRA, and the AR-15.
How about enforcing current law? And then we can see if we need new ones.
Not wanting to write much more. Simply because I feel that it does no good. I thought I could keep writing for myself, but it doesn't work. So...
If you like the Lib, and want to see it continue, let me know. I won't say that I am done writing, but again, why?
