Hoover is definitely NOT who we need today. Thoughts.
If you remember "All in the Family", The opening song had a verse referring to Hoover. Of course, we have had Hoover, on and off, since Hoover. Yes, that would include the Reagan years. President Reagan truly tried, but after 50 years, A scalpel is not required, a meat cleaver is. Now don't think that I have gone heretic, but when it comes to examples for a true conservative leader, you really do need to go to Calvin Coolidge. Actually, today, he would probably be considered a libertarian. Laissez-Faire is probably gone for good. Government keeping hands off, what a dream. Funny how progressives always want the government out of the bedroom, but want it everywhere else, with cameras IN the bedroom.
One of the side effects of Obamacare, which I guarantee that no one expected, is that with such high deductibles, people are actually starting to price health care, and shop around. As this continues, the health care market will react, providing competitive services, and forcing consumers to actually evaluate costs, and what tests they might want. One guarantee is that if Hillary wins the election, and probably Donald as well, they will want to stop that, to "help us".
I think it is time for school districts to start evaluating the taser lines attached to federal education dollars. As the President, by fiat, has dictated that bathrooms are now open to all, or no money, this could be the last straw for some. The Auschwitz rations that have been issued by the non elected, non appointed First Lady for the cafeterias, probably started the thoughts, common core, which is being rejected by many states. has piled on. Are they ready? It would require extreme resistance, as the pressure from the teacher unions will be immense. We would hear about how our schools would be substandard. And we would be denying money that we have already paid. Probably not yet, but I suspect that some are thinking about a post federal dollar school system.
Trump could possibly win, many are starting to think that is likely, if not a shoe in. If so, he will win big. If that happens, conservatives can probably kiss any influence goodbye. He hasn't reached out, and may not reach out at all. Tired of the GOP treating them like the Democrats treat the blacks, they may find themselves migrating to a true opposition party. As with both GOP and the Democrats supporting big government, which will only expand with Donald, or Hillary, an opposition would be necessary. Even if it is too late.
Since the opposition dropped from the race, Donald has expressed willingness to raise the minimum wage, and to throw "the full faith and credit" of the United States into the wind. Of course, when that landed like a brick, he back pedaled by suggesting printing our way out of the debt. Wow, we are one election away from the Weimar Republic. Don't know what that means? Look it up. While the US was booming under Harding and Coolidge, who were able to repair 8 years of the progressive Wilson, Germany decided to print their way out of debt, with predictable results. Wheelbarrows of cash to buy a loaf of bread.
Why should I vote FOR Donald Trump?
We could definitely use a man like Calvin Coolidge again
