Lines Drawn.
We are nearly at the point of Civil War. And so it is time to think, and to choose. I could quote Joshua, but that would be over OntheRim, and so will confine myself to pointing out a few things.
Washington DC, and all of the lobbyists, bureaucrats, politicians, and the parties ALL think that Americans are no longer capable of doing ANYTHING on their own. Both parties think that, make no mistake. This group is currently throwing a hissy fit over Trump winning. Funny, because in 30 of the 50 states, he won the popular vote outright.
He won IN SPITE of his mouth, he won IN SPITE of his tweets. He won because he reached the common man. He told them that unlike all of the DC class, he understood them. He was apolitical, with numerous videos of several Democrats congratulating him for his assistance in the minority community being readily available to watch. His opponent was all FOR him when he was a businessman, applauding his outreach to the gay community. Now he is Hitler (a Socialist, by the way)
Now the war is on. Yes, it has turned violent. Anything representing a viewpoint other than the prevailing one on campuses nationwide is often met WITH VIOLENCE! The DC establishment is doing everything it can to undercut his presidency. Yes, I would consider it treason. The people spoke, the electors voted according to that voice. The oath to the Constitution includes following the legal authority of the President of the United States, so long as he is upholding that same Constitution.
They don't think locals can run their own schools, so they have put so many threads in funding that those strings are manipulated by them. Question, what has happened to education in the US since President Carter AND Congress created the Department of Education? Hear that flushing sound? Yup.
They know you can't make health care choices for yourself. That is why they have rolled out these monstrous command and control healthcare systems.
They really do think you are racist, sexist, homophobes, otherwise they would allow you as individual businessmen and women to decide who you would hire and to whom you would tailor your business. Never mind that it was the government that forbade them from doing the same decades ago.
They don't think that you can make choices about potential experimental drugs, that haven't been "approved" by the all knowing FDA for use (funny how they disappear when it comes to liability for something that they missed) I mean, if you are already terminal, why shouldn't you be allowed to consider experimental treatment. What is the worst that could happen? You die?
They trust you with alcohol, but not with marijuana? Look, I know nothing about dope, but really?
They make at least 10 times the money on tobacco that the tobacco companies do, do they really want you to quit?
Tax law so complex that only the super rich can afford to navigate it. Any chance of that easing up? They don't want to. Why? Control. Maybe they are right that we aren't smart enough. After all, how many think the government gives them money every spring?
This list could go on and on and on, but I think the point is delivered.
Will the people win? Can they beat DC and all of their henchmen in the media and academia? I think it is a question that we each need to ask. And which side are we on.
