Randomly wandering

The Gorsuch hearings continue.  Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) didn't like that Gorsuch, like Scalia would follow the Constitution as written, opting for a "living document" interpretation of the US. Constitution.  Question for her.  If the Constitution was flexible, why did the Founders specify how it was to be amended?  Hmmm?  Speaking of the Gorsuch hearings...

Senator Stuart Smalley, (D-MN) said that Justice Scalia did not weigh justice on the same Constitution that the Senator had sworn an oath to defend.  My question would be.  Between Scalia/Gorsuch and Franken, which could probably quote the entire constitution from memory?  Another funny Franken thing, he said that Gorsuch was blind to minorities.  I would say, fair assessment, and that should be a plus.  Has Franken seen the statue of Lady Justice?  Is she wearing a blindfold?  Hmmm?

Do you think that Congress considers the cost on your budget before deciding whether or not to raise taxes?

We have seen fake news NOT report that the reason millions would lose their healthcare under Ocare-lite is because without the government gun to their head, they choose not to have it.  Speaking of healthcare...

We have heard about the need for some plan because the cost of healthcare keeps going up.  And it seems to...except when it comes to healthcare that is not covered by some government or insurance plan.  Know what that is?  Plastic surgery is one, Lasik is another.  As they have to compete for cash from the user, guess what happens with prices?  Lower?  Maybe we should have more care exempt from big government/insurance?  If people had to pay to visit a doctor, (not co-pay) would they be more likely to price services?

I do think something should be done about people accessing healthcare with no intentions of paying it back by going to the ER.  It is that mandate that is driving the costs up for everyone else.  Does that fall under that unicornish "right" to healthcare?

For all of the clamor for rights to education, healthcare, etc, my question is this:

If you have a right to a college education, who provides it?  I don't see college professors volunteering to live on campus, eat at a cafeteria and accept a small stipend for clothing.  For some reason, they expect to get paid.

If I have a right to see my doctor with no compensation, which they claim, how does he maintain his practice?

There is a name for the the above examples.  SLAVERY.  Forcing someone to provide a service with no compensation.  But if you say that they should be compensated, then my question then becomes, Who provides that compensation?  The government you say?  Where does the government get its money?  Taxes.

People paying taxes for basic government services is just.  It is fair.  And while I disagree with the following, I can live with it.  Subsidizing schools, roads, hospitals, and so on.  So far, so good, I guess...

But when taxes are taken from someone, to give to someone else, is NOT CHARITY!  It is THEFT.  LEGALIZED THEFT.  It is the mob voting to take from those that produce and give to those that don't.

I know, broken record on the rights, but it is obvious this would be news to the vast majority in this country, who, by the way, cannot name a single Supreme Court Justice.  Given the imperial power that we have given the unelected, untouchable Supremes, you would think we would know their names.  Do you?
