The real reason Obamacare is failing

Are you choosing to not be insured?  You are the reason that Ocare is failing.  Not Trump, not the GOP, not even the Democrats, and their crappy law.  Can we break down a few things?

Medicaid.  Did you know that the majority of people who signed up for Ocare on the exchanges were enrolled in the Medicaid option?   Did you know that many of them previously qualified for Medicaid, if not an outright majority?  Why didn't they sign up for insurance before?  Hmmm

Medicare is broke.  It is even more broke now than it was before Ocare.  Congress did their voodoo on numbers, and took non-existent funds from Medicare, and used them to make Ocare look budget friendly.  What happens when the time of reckoning comes for Medicare and reimbursements to doctors are slashed?  Probably a lot of doctors will stop taking Medicare patients, (like they are with Medicaid)  I haven't even touched the approx. $100 billion a year in fraud.

But what about Ocare?  What is the reason?  The fact that there are 28 million criminals walking around without fear of arrest is a start.  Who are they?  They are the lawbreakers that are breaking Ocare by not signing up.  And why should they?  And there is the problem.

Before Ocare, what did the uninsured do when they REALLY needed medical attention?  They walked into an ER, they made arrangements to "pay" for their treatment, and were treated.  Ocare was supposed to fix that.  With everyone insured, you could see a primary care provider, rather than clog up an ER with colds, Strep, or other minor ailment.  Didn't happen.

With so many still uninsured, where do they go?  The ER.

For those insured, but no money for the deductible?  The ER.

No appointments available if you do have the money?  The ER.

Does that sound familiar?  To me, that is the problem.

Hospitals MUST treat anyone that walks in, without regard to payment.  That is a problem.  Both for the hospitals and for Ocare.  Why would I spend my dollars for Ocare, when I could just walk in to the hospital if there is a problem, AND if it turns out to be serious, sign up for my guaranteed issue Ocare plan.

And as long as healthcare providers have to provide services regardless, no central health care plan will be successful.  I don't even understand why we still have laws forcing them to provide care, when it is the law that all are insured.  Anyone?
