DREAM weaver

Sometime in the next 24 hours, we will learn where the President really stands on DACA.  So, on the front side, the media, rather than wait to hear what the President has to say, has decided to put a full court press on, as we know how President Trump has enslaved, incarcerated, and killed the blacks, hispanics, gays, lesbians, transgenders, muslims, and so on.

I have advocated for over a year, that the best way to get Congress to do its FREAKIN' JOB! is to give them a deadline.  President Trump is rumored to implement a repeal of the Executive Order for illegal children who had no choice but to come here (where were these softies when Bill Clinton sent in the jack booted thugs to rip Elian Gonzalez out of the home his mother died to bring him to?), essentially to begin processing them for deportation.  It is also rumored, and I think wise, for him to put a 6 month delay on his order to go into effect, giving Congress time to act, and perhaps in a bi-partisan fashion.

The problem of EOs, is that they can be undone with a stroke of a pen.  Maybe by the same President that wrote it.

Okay, so I didn't advocate it for the immigration issue.  To be clear, I pointed out that until there is reasonable security at the border, we cannot address amnesty for those that are here.  Again, as a reminder, the Indian Wars ended well over a century ago.  No need for Army outposts in Oklahoma, Kansas, and so on.  Move the troops to the border.  That can be done now, with very little incurred costs.  Once that is done, we can reasonably address the however many that are here, and a way for more to come, LEGALLY.

Of course, if the purpose for these Army posts isn't Indian control, but to control American Citizens, well...

I did specifically advocate that the new President announce that he was going to give a deadline to Congress to fix the drug laws. and that if they didn't he would start prosecuting according to law.  But we now see that Congress has sunk so deep into the swamp of DC, that instead of passing laws, they whine about the President enforcing duly passed, and as yet upheld, laws.  When AG Sessions announced enforcement of drug laws, as well as some immigration laws, members of Congress could have immediately passed legislation changing them, and President Trump would have signed it.  but nope, they went to the microphones to be shocked.

"Senator, do you want any cheese with that whine?"

Look for a debt ceiling debate, as well as debate on, not a budget, but probably a continuing resolution for funding the feds, as well as a well dressed pig named Harvey relief.

By the way, perhaps if President Trump put an expiration date on the delayed actions of the ACA, (you know, the ones that even President Obama knew would severely damage the economy) that could spur Congress to act.  Especially if he pointed out that the reason it is failing is because the full Democrat passed and signed into law plan was not implemented as written.

For all the whining of Trump being a dictator, I haven't seen all the autocratic actions that one would expect.  Have you?
