No doubt tomorrow we will be seeing all sorts of things regarding how much every one hates the president, and how the russians, and on and on.
Truthfully, I don't know how much longer I can write this blog. I love doing it, understand, but I feel that I have no impact, and even though I do the things that I think we should do. Write and call congress, more and more people are just getting turned off by politics, right when we are at a very critical point.
I won't go through all the names and accusations against the President. I won't support him when he institutes a ban on this, or a ban on that. But I would ask you to honestly answer this question.
Where is the tyrant that I hear about on the news?
He bans travel from countries that are either state sponsors of terror, or do not have an effective government capable of verifying the people coming here, because they are fallen states.
He has laid the law down on DACA, which would have been found unconstitutional by federal courts, as its sister program was. He settled by giving Congress time to fix the problem. Are they? No. Do they want to? Well, that is the problem. For DECADES Congress has passed the buck on any serious legislation. They pass a framework, and let the Executive Branch fix it. They then complain about regulations and how the Executive Branch is too big. How do you know a serious conservative? They are complaining about it with a Republican President, just like they did with a Democrat.
Yes, AG Sessions has said he is going to lay down the law on the whole Marijuana industry. It is the law, which has been upheld. You can say that he doesn't have to do it, but wouldn't it be better if Congress just fixed the darn problem, rather than whine and complain about DOJ enforcing duly passed laws? See above Oh, and I don't see huge round ups in Colorado. Maybe Sessions was just putting Congress on notice?
Not sure there has been a more friendly president towards the various victim groups in the Democrat party. You can google video of him talking in support of gay marriage (probably before the Clintons, or Obama) or the racebaiter Jesse Jackson praising him. Other than the transgender military thing, which is not completely without merit, but was rash, and not well thought through.
He is tearing down regulation at as fast of a rate as is possible in DC. His Executive Orders are mostly undoing the gathering of power by his predecessors.
His problem? He relates too frequently with the common man. He forgets his place as President of the whole country, of course with the media and half of the country saying "not my president", it is kind of understandable. I never saw Obama try to reach out, once elected. This is why those that supported him still do, maybe even more so. He is learning. Funny, politicians lie all the time. No one cares. Why do they fact check every "is' that comes out of his mouth.
Where are the chains and whips promised by the Democrats? Trump is probably the most nonpolitical person ever to hold the office (well, Silent Cal may have been less so)
Abortion bans? Quick. What abortions are protected specifically by Roe vs Wade? If you said only the first trimester you would be right. Did you know that? And remember, if you say that Supreme Court cases can't be overturned, two words. Dred Scott. yup, you support blacks not ever being citizens. Good job.
As far as immigration in general goes, secure the border first, and then we will deal with the illegals that are here. We don't need a wall, just move a few divisions to the border and start actively patrolling it. After all, securing the border is one of the few things that the feds ARE SUPPOSED to do.
The problem is Congress, and its unwillingness to do its job. A sure sign the government has exceeded its mandate is when Congress can't agree to fund it, and refused to pass laws, allowing unelected pencil pushers to do that for them.
Show me the tyrant. Please? Or do you even care? Most don't, so...
