You read it you name it
Sort of a paraphrase of a Joe Walsh album (You bought it, you name it)
I was at Sonic getting some food way too late tonight, and what did I hear on Sonic Radio while waiting for my order? Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, what an awesome song, I stayed after my order, until the song was done. Seemed odd that it was on the Sonic Playlist, don't you think? Here is a much later, live version, with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant:

I really don't think Republicans want to be a majority. I think they just want to go back to being the opposition party, where they all hung out after work and went home and lied to their constituents. They would spend their time fundraising against whatever the Democrats were doing.
They may get their wish
I have already written about Roy Moore in AL. Won't write more until we KNOW what happened.
I think that the GOP has become the Whigs of the 1850s. The Donald has exposed them to be no different than Democrats when it comes to policy. And I think real conservative donors have had enough. The GOP has full control, and they can't do anything. Look for a dear Conservative letter before too long.
If nothing else comes from these two years with complete GOP control in DC, they have the opportunity to stack the judicial bench with some pretty awesome Originalists, you know, judges that follow the Constitution, and the law? And they are doing it.
The President had campaigned on eliminating the carried interest deduction, or at least making it comparable to income tax. Why is no one actually doing that? We all know why don't we? Because deep down, those that are the richest, who "don't want tax cuts" make a lot of their money that way, so any income tax adjustment doesn't touch them. Don't get me wrong, I think they should take the income tax rate down to it, rather than raise it up. Who wouldn't want to see the following exchange?
CNN: "Mr. Buffett, we would like to get your take, knowing that you don't want a tax cut, on the latest proposal by the GOP, to have a one time tax on wealth of 30%, for all funds and trusts over 5 million dollars
Warren: Uh, er, what did you say? a 30% rate? Why, that is much lower than I pay now. Of course I am opposed to that.
CNN: It is not an income tax, Mr. Buffett. It is a one time 30% tax on wealth on funds over 5 million dollars.
Warren: A tax on what? (sweating profusely),
CNN: Wealth, a one time tax.
Warren: I gotta go make some calls.
CNN: Oh, and it will be retroactive to funds effective today.
Warren: (goes slack precipitating a 911 call) not a stroke, just went into shock
CNN could probably make a bunch of money just putting that interview on pay per view. I'd easily pay $100 to see that, and more if you included a lot of those other "I'm not taxed enough" rich phonies.
We have had the progressive income tax for over 100 years. It has been used to redistribute income from the rich to the poor, and yet income inequality is greater than ever. The super rich just find a place to hide their money. I mean, Russia, part of the old Soviet Union, has a 13% flat tax. The freakin' Soviet Union! Why can't we have REAL REFORM?
I just did my paper on fixing the ACA. Or rather, at least to make health care more affordable. Am I a traitor to libertarianism? Nope, to paraphrase Barry Kripke from Big Bang, I am a "libertarian pragmatist". Can I at least try to explain before you write me off?
The battle has been; "Is health care: a commodity? Or, a right, or entitlement?" The recent debacle in the Senate, after lying to its base for 7 years, decided that question. Health care is an entitlement, until the money runs out. So, that is the point of view that I took. I am not going into details yet, I don't want to trigger a flag when they scan the internet for plagiarism. But, thought it was a pretty good idea, that is so simple that it would never even make it to the floor of Congress, even though it would save billions, and eliminate the clog that the GOP is using as an excuse to not repeal, that is "guaranteed issue". When I get the grade, I will explain.
Longer than I wanted to go. Didn't even get to the Media exposing the rats in Hollywood and in their Party (the DNC) to get rid of the Clintons. That can be the only explanation, for why now.
