I sure picked a bad time to stop sharing politics.

I am definitely relating Lloyd Bridges in Airplane.  If you don't remember, or for some sad reason you haven't seen it, Lloyd Bridges is the Chief Controller, and to follow the stereotypes, he progresses from "picking a bad week to stop smoking cigarettes" to ultimately "stop sniffing glue".

Why do I mention that?  Because every since I gave up sharing other posts, so many things have happened that I wanted to comment on, but am working hard to not.  Seriously, we can only pray that the madness stops at the election, but I suspect that no matter who wins, that the rancor and hate will only continue.

I wonder how the media would react if Trump treated a female moderator like Kaine did last night?  Of course, I don't mean a Fox News female, because to liberals, if you are not hard core liberal feminist, then you don't count.  I mean Gwen Ifill, or someone like that.

Why does Trump and Pence shy away from the comments that Putin is a stronger leader than Obama?  He is a strong man that rules by force.  Saying he is strong does not mean you have a man crush on him.  He is a strong leader, and the President is an extremely weak leader.

Pence, and other Trump apologists should not try to deny Trump said something that he actually said.  They need to just point out that it is a campaign promise, and to rehearse what one of the many Clinton surrogates in the media once said about President Clinton.  "He kept the promises he intended to keep"  Who said that?  Why none other than George Stephanopoulus.  Trump should point out that he is just initiating dialogue, which he has done, and that it will take many working together to craft legislation to be enacted.  But if you start by surrendering (see leader comments above), or by meeting the other person's position, you have already lost.

The President has, for years, delayed fully implementing his signature health care plan.  Now he is complaining that it is crashing, that people's rates are skyrocketing, and their out of pocket costs are unsustainable.   They did admit that it was all built on the lies intended to garner support.  Keep your doctor, your insurance, AND save you $2,500 a year in out of pocket costs.  Remember?   Remember that it was passed with NO reaching out, NO bipartisanship, and when the vote came down, NO Republican votes.  Many Democrats lost their seats in 2010 and 2014, leaving zero "moderate" Democrats in Congress, and many wiped out on the state and local level.  So. who does the President blame for the failure of the as yet not fully enacted law?  You guessed it.  Republicans.

The Supreme Court refused to rehear the President's immigration order, so it is done.  I suspect that the government will drag its feet in enforcing the law as written.

Why are the refugees coming to this country being resettled predominantly in sparsely populated "red" states?  Check the numbers, they don't lie.  I could go on about how major employers in Twin Falls are hiring refugees for a fraction of the cost of citizens because the federal government is subsidizing  their employment, but why would I do that?  Do people understand that?

And by the way.  entrance into the debates is dependent on getting 15% in the polls.  Of the 5 polls used to for the debate racket, only 1 even asks about Johnson.  I get why people shy away from him, but that sounds pretty rigged to me.  Let him be on the stage.  Trump?  I won't bother with the Secretary, because they are fully panicked about the votes he is taking, and I wouldn't want to share a stage with someone who makes me look bad if I were her.
