Time to run with the Bull
Probably the last post regarding the election until the aftermath, while reserving the right to comment if something drastic, as defined by me, happens. It is my blog.
Not having true libertarian principles, and not focusing his campaign on a winnable strategy, Gary Johnson no longer has my support. I was an idealist, and if nothing else, have become a committed libertarian, so I thank the two major parties for that, if nothing else.
Can you imagine, if the GOP had put up someone like Rand Paul? How different the discussion would be.
Or if the Libertarian Party had put up Austin Petersen, a true libertarian?
I have made the case against Donald Trump for the past year. I feel that I have been fair, and objective. Let me first say that the new revelations about him are no surprise, or shouldn't be to anyone. The fact that NBC aided and abetted him in his alleged sexual assaults is not getting the play it deserves.
Hillary is a monster. She believes that the Supreme Court belongs to the people, and that a baby doesn't have basic human rights until it leaves the hospital in its mothers arms, or approved car seat. She also hates the 1st Amendment, and the 2nd. Donald was right on those things in the debate, and she didn't deny it, she just tried to blow smoke. She also didn't deny that all the stuff about her foundation and pay for play was true.
I will be honest and say that I haven't given Jill Stein the time of day on researching candidates. The Green Party moniker is enough for me to move on.
Now let me address Evan McMullin, who is leading the way to a Hillary presidency.
I wanted to let that sink in for a minute. So, if you are conservative, let me ask you a couple of questions.
1. Do you believe that the establishment GOP has been fighting you forever?
2. Are you frustrated by the impotence of a GOP led House, and Senate?
If so, then let me ask; Why do you support McMullin? He is running BECAUSE of the establishment. They would rather keep their club intact,AS A MINORITY PARTY, than to contemplate the results of a Trump presidency. They know that if he wins, they could be out. He has consistently refused to play their little games.
All the little plants in the Huff Post. a hardcore progressive rag? All the good reviews on major networks? Hello, McFly! Media bias? What, you think that they have seen the light? NO! It is because Johnson has run a horrible campaign, and is on the path to win ZERO, ZIP NADA, NOT ONE electoral vote. And they see that McMullin could win a very red state. They know what that means. UT's electoral votes not in Trump's count. How easy is it then, for Trump to get 270? At least the theory of Johnson pulling a blue and red state had merit. McMullin has 0 chance of getting a blue state, so what does that bring?
President Hillary. Possibly a Democrat controlled Senate. All the old lib Supremes replaced, PLUS one of the most constitutionally minded judges replaced, all by uber progressives. Probably would nominate Obama to take Scalia's spot, just because.
Does Donald scare me to think of what a REAL alpha male could do with the powers consolidated into the Executive Branch over the last two presidencies? YES.
Do I think that Donald's conversion to conservatism may be less than genuine? YES
Do I go so far as to think (as some do) that he is a Clinton plant to either pave the way to Hillary, or to enact many of the policies espoused by progressives? Maybe, but doubtful.
I worry a lot about what Donald could do. I KNOW what Hillary WILL do.
He is the consummate insider as a business man, I know, but he is definitely an outsider politically, the establishment, both Democrat, and Republican hate him.
I hate to say it, as we may be screwed either way, but the only chance we have is the candidate that is at least saying the things that people support.
TRUMP.

Love it Phil, it is the same reasons I have stayed with Trump. What do I have to lose?
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough call, but that's where a lot of us fall.
